Donor Spotlight: Cleveland Hardware & Forging Company
The Forging Industry Educational & Research Foundation (FIERF) would like to recognize one of our Silver Anvil Society Donors, Cleveland Hardware & Forging Company.
Cleveland Hardware & Forging Company is the parent company for two other business units, Green Bay Drop Forge in Green Bay, WI and Fox Valley Forge in Aurora, IL. All three business units share resources and manufacturing economies, enabling them to produce some of the most competitive and advanced forging products available. Cleveland Hardware & Forging Company is family-owned and operated and was founded in the late 1870’s. They are a major player in a wide range of markets – from heavy truck to custom forged hand tools, automotive and agriculture, among many others.
Cleveland Hardware & Forging has actively participated in the Forging Industry Association since 1973. For the past 24 years, they have also been contributing to the Forging Foundation, providing vital support to FIERF’s educational programs, specifically the Forging Industry Women’s Scholarship. Cleveland Hardware & Forging Company is also a proud supporter of FIERF’s Annual Silent Auction.
Bill Hoban, President & CEO of Cleveland Hardware & Forging Company says “My family and I have always believed in supporting the FIERF foundation and all the research and training it has provided our industry over the years. Our company has personally participated in projects funded by FIERF.
The funding came from the contributions of Cleveland Hardware and Forging Company as well as many other member companies over the years. When the addition of the Woman’s Scholarship was added, this was what we decided to specifically support. We are invested in bringing as many different viewpoints and perspectives as possible to our company and our industry as a whole. Our greatest strength is developing solutions that are a collaboration of diverse individuals. Women in Forging bring knowledgeable, insightful and highly valued ideas and contributions across all levels of our organization in an industry that is perceived as male dominated. We are fortunate to have and had many strong women in our organization over the years and want to continue to attract and develop those talents into the future.”
Thank you, Cleveland Hardware & Forging Company for supporting the Forging Foundation and students throughout the years!
