FIERF Magnet School Case Western Reserve University establishes DOE-funded Industrial Assessment Center – offering free energy assessment for FIA Members
FIERF Magnet School Case Western Reserve University has newly established a DOE-funded Industrial Assessment Center, offering free energy assessment for small and medium-sized manufacturers located in Northern Ohio, Northwestern Pennsylvania and Southeastern Michigan to improve energy efficiency and reduce utility costs. The energy assessment leverages the multiple years R&D experience of CWRU faculty members across Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Materials Engineering. From the assessment, companies will receive a detailed report including recommendations and measures for energy saving, implementation costs, and payback time. After, companies are encouraged to implement some of the recommendations and measures from the report to reduce their utility costs, with the technical support of the CWRU team.
